In 2019, Harvard Iranian Alumni partnered with the Harvard College Iranian Association to form a fund in honor of a notable and accomplished Harvard alumna, Dr. Maryam Mizrakhani.

Maryam Mirzakhani was a role model for everyone. When we started the Harvard Iranian Alumni organization in 2015, she was one of the first people we asked to join our Alumni Advisory Board. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to us, her battle with cancer had already begun, and she was unable to join our Alumni Advisory Board. But we could think of no better way to honor her legacy than to promote academics at Harvard in her name.

The Maryam Mizrakhani Scholarship supported summertime scholarship endeavors with $5,000 for two individuals.

With your support, we will continue sponsoring the scholarship and study of Iranian-Americans annually. ​​
